Top 5 Insurance Apps on Android in Brazil, Q1 2022

In the first quarter of 2022, the insurance app market in Brazil saw various trends in downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the top 5 insurance apps on the Android platform, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Porto: Seguros, Cartão virtual started the quarter strong with 46.8K downloads in the first week of January, but saw a decline to around 24.3K downloads by the end of March. The app maintained a relatively steady number of weekly active users, fluctuating between 318K and 357K throughout the quarter.

Pier: Mobile & Auto insurance saw a significant increase in downloads, starting from 7.9K in late December 2021 and peaking at 32.7K in late February. Active users also showed a notable rise, from 37.5K in late December to nearly 80K by the end of March.

Bradesco Saúde experienced fluctuating downloads, with a notable peak of 19.1K in the last week of March. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 88.8K in late December and reaching 97.8K by the end of the quarter.

Bradesco Seguros had a consistent performance in terms of downloads, peaking at 15.1K in the first week of January and maintaining around 15K downloads towards the end of the quarter. Active users also showed slight growth, starting at 91.7K in late December and ending at 106K by the end of March.

Lastly, Unimed Nacional had a steady download rate with a peak of 14.6K in late January. The app’s active users increased from 57.4K in late December to 70K in mid-March before slightly declining to 66.3K by the end of the quarter.
