The first quarter of 2022 saw notable trends in the performance of education apps on the Android platform in Nigeria. Here’s a closer look at the top five education apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

JAMB CBT Practice App Offline experienced significant growth in weekly downloads, starting from 7K in late December 2021 and peaking at approximately 27K by mid-March 2022. This increase in downloads was mirrored by an uptick in weekly active users, which rose from 19.8K at the end of December to over 50K by the end of March.

uLesson Educational App had a fluctuating yet impressive performance. Weekly downloads surged to over 61K in the first week of February, although they later dipped to around 3.4K by early March before climbing back to 19.1K by the end of the quarter. Active users showed a similar pattern, peaking at 64.7K in early February and ending the quarter at 33.6K. The app also recorded a modest revenue of $61 in the last week of March.

Advanced English Dictionary maintained a consistent download rate, averaging around 15K to 20K downloads per week. Its revenue, though modest, saw slight variations, with a peak of $29 in the third week of March. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 29K to 36K throughout the quarter.

JAMB CBT + WAEC Past Questions showed steady weekly downloads, ranging from 5.8K to 12.5K. Weekly active users also displayed consistent engagement, increasing from 40.6K at the end of December to approximately 54K by late March.

Superbook Kids Bible App experienced moderate but steady growth. Weekly downloads varied from around 6.5K to 8.1K, while active users increased from 11.4K at the end of December to nearly 13K by the end of March.
