Top 5 Travel Apps Performance in Mexico Q4 2021

In Q4 2021, the top travel apps in Mexico showed diverse performance trends across downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the weekly metrics for the leading apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 166K in early October and peaking at approximately 266K in the week of December 20. Active users also followed an upward trajectory, growing from roughly 4.4M at the start of the quarter to a high of nearly 5.9M in mid-December before ending the year at about 4.6M.

Uber - Request a ride experienced an increase in weekly downloads, beginning at around 113K in late September and reaching approximately 183K in the week of December 20. The app's active users rose from about 5.1M at the start of October to a peak of around 6.4M in mid-December, eventually settling at roughly 5.1M by the end of the year.

inDrive. Save on city rides saw its weekly downloads grow from around 68K in late September to a peak of approximately 143K in the week of December 20. Active users also increased, starting at about 1.5M and reaching a high of around 2.1M in early December before ending the quarter at roughly 1.8M.

Airbnb experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting at about 40K in late September and peaking at approximately 69K in early November. Active users showed a steady rise from around 368K at the beginning of the quarter to a peak of about 493K by the end of December.

Volaris had a relatively stable performance in weekly downloads, beginning at around 29K in late September and reaching a peak of approximately 41K in early November. Active users saw a gradual increase from about 75K at the start of the quarter to a peak of nearly 90K in mid-November, ending the year at around 86K.
