In the fourth quarter of 2021, the top five shopping apps in Australia exhibited various performance trends in weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at how these apps performed, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Shop: All your favorite brands had fluctuating weekly downloads, starting at approximately 43.6K in late September and dipping to around 28.9K by the end of December. Active users saw a significant rise from around 279K to a peak of 374K in late November, before settling at about 318K at the end of the quarter.

Everyday Rewards experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, reaching a high of 49.9K in mid-November. Active users also showed a significant spike, peaking at approximately 585K during the same period, before ending the quarter at roughly 443K.

SHEIN - Shopping Online saw a decline in weekly downloads from around 40.1K in late September to about 22.4K by the end of December. Active users fluctuated, peaking at 506K in late November and closing the quarter at approximately 408K.

eBay online shopping & selling maintained relatively stable weekly downloads, starting at around 23.4K and ending at 19.5K. Active users saw a slight decline, beginning at approximately 1.81M and ending the quarter at roughly 1.65M.

Afterpay: Shop Smarter showed consistent weekly downloads, starting at 19.3K in late September and ending at around 15.6K in December. Active users remained steady throughout the quarter, peaking at about 518K in late November and closing at approximately 469K.
