Top 5 Navigation Apps Performance in Hungary Q4 2021

In the fourth quarter of 2021, the performance of the top 5 navigation applications in Hungary revealed interesting trends in terms of downloads and active users. Data from both iOS and Android platforms were analyzed, providing a comprehensive overview of the market.

Google Maps saw weekly downloads fluctuating between 4.2K and 6.3K, peaking at 6.3K in the week of October 25. Weekly active users hovered around 350K, with a slight dip to 318K in the week of December 20 before recovering to 333K by the end of the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a similar pattern in weekly downloads, ranging from 4.7K to 7.2K, with the highest number of downloads occurring in the week of October 25. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 370K, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.

Shell: Fuel & Rewards had more modest weekly download numbers, varying from 2K to 3.7K. The app’s weekly active users showed a gradual increase, starting at 16.3K at the beginning of the quarter and reaching a peak of 18.2K in the week of December 13.

Moovit: All Transit Options showed a downward trend in weekly downloads, beginning at 2.2K in late September and ending the quarter at 819. Weekly active users also saw a slight decline, from 14.7K to 12.9K by the end of December.

Street View Map 360 demonstrated consistent growth in both weekly downloads and active users. Downloads increased from 140 at the start of the quarter to 312 by the end of December. Active users mirrored this growth, rising from 262 to 838 over the same period.
