During the fourth quarter of 2021, the top 5 navigation apps in Costa Rica showed varying performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here's a detailed look at how each app fared.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting from around 6.6K and reaching approximately 10.9K by the end of December. Active users also showed a positive trend, growing from 217K to a peak of about 264K in mid-December.

Google Maps maintained a steady download rate, averaging around 2K weekly downloads throughout the quarter. Active users for Google Maps remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 158K to 174K.

Moovit: All Transit Options saw weekly downloads ranging between 2K and 2.5K for most of the quarter, ending the year at approximately 1.8K. Active users exhibited a gradual increase, starting from 27.3K in late September and peaking at about 30.3K in mid-December.
