Top 5 Education Apps Performance in Portugal Q4 2021

During the fourth quarter of 2021, the top 5 education apps in Portugal showcased varied performance metrics in terms of downloads, active users, and revenue.

Google Classroom saw a steady decline in weekly downloads, starting from around 11K at the beginning of October and dropping to approximately 2.8K by the end of December. Active users fluctuated, peaking at about 233K in mid-November before falling to roughly 118K at the close of the quarter.

Duolingo - Language Lessons maintained consistent weekly downloads, averaging around 4K to 4.7K throughout the quarter. Revenue showed a significant spike, reaching approximately $10K in the last week of December. Active users also saw a gradual increase, from about 63K in late September to nearly 70K by the end of the year.

Vaia: AI Study. Flashcards experienced a surge in weekly downloads in late November, peaking at around 7.3K, before dropping to about 1.4K by the end of December. Active users followed a similar trend, increasing to approximately 8.7K in late November and then decreasing to around 2.8K by the end of the quarter.

Photomath had a steady number of downloads, averaging between 3K and 6K throughout the quarter. Revenue remained relatively stable, with minor fluctuations, peaking at around $189 in late September. Active users saw a decline from approximately 32K in late September to about 13.7K by the end of December.

Kahoot! Play & Create Quizzes showed a slight increase in downloads in mid-December, reaching about 4.6K, before dropping to approximately 1.1K by the end of the month. Active users peaked at around 22.5K in mid-December but decreased to roughly 14.9K by the end of the quarter. Revenue saw a modest increase, peaking at about $145 in late December.
