Top 5 Education Apps in Brazil Q4 2021: Performance Overview

In the fourth quarter of 2021, the top five education apps in Brazil showed varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the data from Sensor Tower.

Duolingo - Language Lessons saw a fluctuating but generally positive trend in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $170K in the final week of December. Weekly downloads for the app had a significant rise, reaching around 170K in the same week. Meanwhile, weekly active users fluctuated, peaking at about 1.25M in the last week of the quarter.

Brainly: AI Homework Helper experienced a decline in weekly revenue, dropping from around $15K at the end of September to under $500 at the end of December. Weekly downloads also saw a sharp decline, from 158K at the beginning of the quarter to about 14K in the last week. Active users mirrored this trend, starting at over 7M and falling to approximately 1M by the end of December.

Hotmart showed a steady performance in terms of downloads, with weekly figures ranging from 63K to 116K. Active users remained relatively stable, peaking at around 1M in late November and early December.

Passei Direto - App de Estudos had a consistent weekly revenue trend, peaking at about $28K in late November and declining slightly to around $14K by the end of December. Weekly downloads showed a downward trend, from 100K at the beginning of the quarter to 17K in the last week. Active users also decreased, starting at around 290K and ending at about 172K.

Google Classroom demonstrated a significant decline in active users, starting at over 10M and falling to around 2.2M by the end of December. Weekly downloads also decreased, from approximately 118K at the beginning of the quarter to just under 10K in the final week.
