Throughout the fourth quarter of 2021, the top 5 utility applications on the iOS platform in Ghana exhibited notable trends in downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Xender:File Share,Share Music maintained a consistent performance in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 7.8K in early October and peaking at around 8.1K mid-month. By the end of December, downloads slightly dipped to 7.6K. Active users for the app saw a steady increase, beginning at roughly 46K and reaching nearly 48.4K by the end of the quarter.

Google experienced a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting at about 5.2K in late September and ending at around 4.9K by the end of December. Despite this, the app maintained a strong active user base, starting at 102.2K and rising to nearly 106K by the end of the quarter.

Google Chrome had a similar trend in weekly downloads, starting at roughly 4.6K and decreasing to about 4.1K over the quarter. Active users fluctuated but ended the quarter strongly with nearly 128K users, up from 126.9K at the beginning of October.

Opera: AI browser with VPN showed a slight decline in weekly downloads, starting at around 3.5K and ending the quarter at 3.2K. Active users for Opera saw a positive trend, starting at 19.2K and peaking at 21.1K by the end of December.

The app had the highest number of active users among the top utilities, starting at 212K and reaching a peak of 223.5K in early December before slightly declining to 220.1K by the end of the month. Additionally, Truecaller saw a peak in weekly revenue of around $231 in early November.
