Top 5 iOS Travel Apps in Central America Q4 2021

The fourth quarter of 2021 saw significant activity among the top travel applications on the iOS platform in Central America. Here’s a detailed look at the performance of the top 5 apps: DiDi Rider: Affordable rides, Uber - Request a ride, inDrive. Save on city rides, Airbnb, and Volaris.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 33.6K in late September and peaking at approximately 54.3K in mid-December. Active users showed a similar upward trend, growing from 843K to about 1.13M over the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride also saw growth in downloads, with numbers rising from 31.4K to nearly 48K in mid-December. Active users increased from approximately 958K to a peak of 1.21M in mid-December, before settling at around 970K by the end of the quarter.

inDrive. Save on city rides maintained a consistent download rate, starting at 15.6K in late September and reaching about 23.8K in mid-December. Active users also showed growth, from 235K to a peak of 319K in mid-December, before dipping to around 271K by the end of the year.

Airbnb demonstrated stable download metrics, ranging from 12.4K in late September to a peak of nearly 17K in late December. Active users showed a steady increase, from around 172K to approximately 226K by the end of December.

Volaris had a varied download trend, starting at 9.1K and peaking at around 11.7K by the end of December. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 20.9K and 24.4K throughout the quarter.
