In the fourth quarter of 2021, the top five shopping apps on iOS in Latin America demonstrated notable performance in terms of downloads and active users. Here's a closer look at how each app fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Shopee Brasil - Frete Zero saw a robust increase in weekly downloads, starting at 181K in late September and peaking at 307K in late November. However, downloads tapered off towards the end of the quarter, finishing at 131K in the last week of December. Active users mirrored this trend, growing from 2.3M at the start of the quarter to a high of nearly 2.9M in late November before settling at 2.7M by the end of December.

SHEIN - Shopping Online maintained a consistent download rate, with peaks in early October at 175K and mid-November at 198K. The app's active users saw a significant rise in early November, reaching up to 3.7M, before experiencing a slight decline to 3M by the end of December.

Mercado Libre: Compras Online experienced steady weekly downloads, ranging from 114K to 159K throughout the quarter. Active users showed a gradual increase, starting at 5.3M in late September and climbing to 5.8M in mid-December, before a small drop to 5.5M by the end of the quarter.

Amazon Shopping had a notable spike in downloads, particularly in the week of November 22, reaching 122K. Active users also increased significantly during this period, peaking at 2.8M in the same week. The app maintained a strong user base, ending the quarter with 2.5M active users.

AliExpress - Shopping App saw fluctuating download numbers, with a high of 108K in early November and a low of 42K in mid-December. Active users peaked at 2.7M in early November but declined steadily to 1.9M by the end of December.
