In Q4 2021, the top five shopping apps on iOS in Germany displayed a variety of trends in downloads and active users. The data, provided by Sensor Tower, reveals interesting insights into the performance of these popular apps.

Amazon saw its weekly downloads fluctuate, starting at around 46K in late September and peaking at 56K in the week of November 22. By the end of December, downloads stabilized at approximately 50K. The app maintained a strong user base, with weekly active users ranging from 1.78M to 1.9M, showing a slight increase towards the end of the quarter.

Kleinanzeigen - without eBay experienced a high in weekly downloads at around 52K in mid-October, then saw a decline, bottoming out at 39K in late November. However, it rebounded to approximately 48K downloads by the end of December. Weekly active users hovered around 1.9M throughout the quarter, with minor fluctuations.

Kaufland: Supermarket Offers had a significant spike in downloads in late October, reaching 128K. This was followed by a steady decline, ending the year with around 24K weekly downloads. Active users mirrored this trend, peaking at 267K in early November and settling at approximately 240K by the end of December.

Klarna | Shop now. Pay later. showed steady growth in weekly downloads, with notable peaks of 45K in late November and 43K in mid-December. Active users also saw an upward trend, starting at around 500K and peaking at 633K at the end of November, before slightly declining to 558K by the end of December.

OTTO - Online Shopping & Möbel experienced a moderate increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 69K in late November. Active users followed a similar trend, reaching a high of 590K in late November and then stabilizing at around 411K by the end of December.
