In Q4 2021, the top 5 iOS navigation apps in Oceania showcased diverse trends in weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the performance of Google Maps, Waze Navigation & Live Traffic, Petrol Spy Australia, BPme, and Moovit: All Transit Options.

Google Maps maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 33K and 48K, peaking at 48K in mid-December. Weekly active users showed a steady increase from 2.49M to 2.74M by mid-December, indicating consistent user engagement.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a notable rise in weekly downloads, starting at 9.5K in late September and reaching 17K by the end of December. However, weekly active users showed a slight decline, dropping from around 496K to 476K over the quarter.

Petrol Spy Australia saw weekly downloads peak at 6.3K in late November, with active users increasing from 26.8K to 34.3K during the same period. Despite a dip in downloads towards the end of December, the app maintained a steady user base of around 30K.

BPme had a moderate performance with weekly downloads ranging from 2.4K to 4.1K, peaking in mid-November. The weekly active users increased from 6.4K to 8.1K by mid-November, before settling at around 6.7K towards the end of December.

Moovit: All Transit Options saw a gradual rise in weekly downloads, peaking at 3.7K in mid-December. Active users also increased from 4.5K to 7.2K by mid-December, although there was a drop to 5K in the final week of December.
