Top 5 iOS Navigation Apps Performance in Netherlands Q4 2021

During the fourth quarter of 2021, the top navigation apps on iOS in the Netherlands saw interesting trends in weekly downloads, active users, and revenue. Here’s a closer look at their performance based on Sensor Tower data.

Google Maps maintained its lead with a significant number of active users. Starting the quarter with approximately 3.2M weekly active users, it saw a slight decline to around 2.8M by the end of December. Weekly downloads fluctuated between 18K to 28K, peaking at 28.5K in mid-October.

Flitsmeister from Flitsmeister B.V. had a steady increase in revenue, peaking at approximately $6K in the final week of December. Downloads varied between 8K to 11K, with the highest being 11.7K in late October. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at around 105K and ending the quarter at about 107K.

SpTH by Aena Aeropuertos S.A. saw a significant drop in downloads and active users. Downloads decreased from around 7.5K in late September to about 2.5K by the end of December. Similarly, active users dropped from approximately 10.8K to around 3.8K over the same period.

ANWB Onderweg & Wegenwacht showed a notable increase in downloads in mid-December, reaching 6.1K, and maintained higher downloads towards the end of the quarter. Active users also saw an increase, peaking at around 14K in mid-December before settling at approximately 12K by the end of the year.

Lastly, Waze Navigation & Live Traffic by Waze Inc. experienced steady weekly downloads, ranging between 2K to 5K. Active users remained relatively consistent, starting at approximately 464K in late September and ending at around 411K by the end of December.
