In the fourth quarter of 2021, the top five shopping apps on the Android platform in El Salvador showcased varying performance trends in weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at each app's performance based on Sensor Tower data.

SHEIN-Shopping Online saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 5.5K in the first week of November. However, downloads declined towards the end of the quarter, reaching approximately 2.8K by the last week of December. Weekly active users exhibited a more stable trend, with a slight increase from 60.3K at the beginning of the quarter to 69.7K by the end.

Alibaba.com - B2B marketplace experienced a significant drop in weekly downloads from 11.3K in late September to around 1.9K by the end of December. Active users also saw a considerable decline from 89.2K to approximately 64.8K over the same period.

Wish: Shop and Save had a notable spike in weekly downloads, reaching 14.5K during the week of November 22. This was followed by a drop to around 439 by the end of December. Weekly active users mirrored this trend with a peak of 42.1K in late November, followed by a decline to 23.4K in the final week of December.

Leal experienced modest fluctuations in weekly downloads, peaking at 2.7K in early November. By the end of December, downloads had decreased to approximately 1.1K. Active users showed a slight upward trend initially, peaking at 14.5K in early November, before dropping to 11.8K by the end of the quarter.

Amazon Shopping demonstrated a consistent performance in weekly downloads, ranging between 1.2K and 2.1K throughout the quarter. Weekly active users increased from 69.8K in late September to 79.5K by mid-November, before stabilizing around 73K towards the end of December.
