The fourth quarter of 2021 saw significant activity in the education category on the Android platform in Russia. Here’s an overview of the performance of the top 5 education apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Госуслуги Культура experienced a decline in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 153K in late September and dropping to around 35.7K by the end of December. Despite this, the app maintained a robust user base, with weekly active users fluctuating between 273K and 539K throughout the quarter.

Учи.ру 0–4 класс showed a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 101.6K in mid-November before declining to approximately 39K by the end of December. Weekly revenue saw a notable peak at $8.7K in early November. Active users showed a consistent upward trend, starting from about 156.9K in late September and reaching as high as 299.2K in early December.

Ready school homework had a fluctuating download trend, with a high of around 198.6K in early October and a low of about 7.3K by the end of December. Revenue remained relatively stable, with minor peaks and troughs, reaching up to $25 in mid-October. Active users saw a decline from approximately 254.4K in early October to about 71.2K by the end of December.

Photomath showed a consistent performance in terms of downloads, averaging around 52K to 78K per week. Revenue increased towards the end of the quarter, with a peak of $181 in the final week of December. Active users fluctuated, peaking at over 7.4M in mid-December before dropping to approximately 3M in the last week of December.

Yandex Translate maintained a stable download rate, averaging around 35K to 58K per week. The app did not generate any revenue during this period. Active users saw a slight decline, starting at approximately 1.8M in late September and ending at around 1.55M by the end of December.
