In the fourth quarter of 2021, the top education apps on the Android platform in Spain demonstrated varied performance trends in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the data from Sensor Tower.

Google Classroom started the quarter with a strong 80K weekly downloads, which then decreased steadily to end the year at approximately 4.8K. Despite zero revenue, its weekly active users fluctuated, peaking at around 2.1M in mid-November before dropping to 905K by the end of December.

Duolingo: Language Lessons had a stable performance in weekly revenue, reaching a high of approximately $41.6K in the last week of December. Weekly downloads showed an increasing trend towards the end of the quarter, with a notable rise to 21K in the final week. Active users hovered around 230K to 250K throughout the period.

Kahoot! Play & Create Quizzes experienced minor fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at $281 in early October. Downloads were relatively steady, with a peak of 14.9K in mid-December. Active users saw a significant uptick in mid-December, reaching 74.9K, before dropping to around 56.8K by the end of the year.

Photomath showed a modest revenue increase, peaking at $155 in mid-December. Weekly downloads were highest at the start of the quarter with approximately 23.8K, gradually decreasing to 3.3K by the end of December. Active users peaked at 130K in mid-November before declining to 54.1K at the end of the year.

Vaia: Study help & AI tools saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting from 243 in late September and reaching a peak of 15.2K in mid-November. Active users also grew, peaking at 17.7K in early December before decreasing to 9K by the end of the year. Revenue remained minimal, with a peak of $63 in early November.
