Top 5 Utilities Apps in Egypt Q3 2021 Performance

The third quarter of 2021 saw significant activity in the utilities app category in Egypt. Here, we take a closer look at the performance of the top 5 apps based on data from Sensor Tower.

Truecaller: Caller ID Blocker from True Software Scandinavia AB demonstrated strong performance throughout the quarter. Weekly revenue varied between $8.5K and $9.8K, peaking at $9.8K in the week of July 12. The app's weekly downloads showed a fluctuating but generally upward trend, with a notable peak at 216.7K during the week of September 13. Active users remained consistently high, ranging from 17.5M to 17.9M.

Clean Up Storage - Cleaner Kit by BPMobile had a more modest performance. Weekly revenue hovered around $500 to $800, with a slight peak at $856 in the week of July 5. Downloads saw a decline over the quarter, starting at 4.7K and dropping to 1.2K by the end of September. Active users also decreased, from 5.5K at the beginning of Q3 to 1.8K by the end.

ProtectAd by RoadPass Trading LTD had lower revenue compared to other apps, with weekly figures ranging from $136 to $597. Downloads were minimal, reaching a high of 406 in the week of July 5, and active users declined steadily from 256 to 73 throughout the quarter.
