The third quarter of 2021 saw significant activity among the top travel applications in Sweden. Here, we explore the performance trends in downloads and active users for the top five apps: TIER - Move Better, EasyPark - Parking made easy, Bolt: Request a Ride, Voi – e-scooter & e-bike hire, and MobilPark.
TIER - Move Better saw a notable fluctuation in weekly downloads. The application peaked at approximately 36.9K downloads in mid-July, followed by a gradual decline to around 7K by the end of September. Active user numbers mirrored this trend, starting at 45.1K in late June and peaking at 63.8K in mid-July before decreasing to 42.6K by the end of the quarter.
EasyPark - Parking made easy also experienced varying weekly download numbers. The app reached its highest downloads of 32K in early August, then saw a decline to about 15.5K by the end of September. Active user numbers remained more consistent, ranging from 101.8K in late June to a peak of 118.1K in mid-July, before slightly dropping to 107K by the quarter's end.
Bolt: Request a Ride had a steady performance in terms of weekly downloads, with numbers hovering around 15K to 20K throughout the quarter. Active users, however, showed a more pronounced upward trend, starting at 53K in late June and steadily increasing to approximately 86K by the end of September.
Voi – e-scooter & e-bike hire experienced a significant drop in weekly downloads, from 25.4K in mid-July to just 4.8K by the end of September. Despite this, the app maintained a relatively stable active user base, peaking at around 73.5K in mid-July and ending the quarter at approximately 52.4K.
Lastly, MobilPark showed consistent weekly download numbers, peaking at 18.8K in mid-July and gradually decreasing to 10.6K by the end of September. Active user numbers remained stable, starting at 34.5K in late June and slightly increasing to around 34.4K by the end of the quarter.
