Throughout Q3 2021, the top 5 travel applications in Egypt exhibited notable trends in downloads and active users. Here’s a detailed look at their performance based on Sensor Tower's data.

inDrive. Save on city rides saw a dynamic quarter in terms of weekly downloads and active users. Downloads peaked at around 180K during the week of September 13, while weekly active users reached a high of approximately 279K by the end of the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a steady performance with weekly downloads fluctuating between 43K and 60K. Its active user base, however, saw a gradual decline from 1.43M in early July to about 1.20M by the end of September.

Swvl - Daily Bus Rides experienced a similar trend. Weekly downloads saw a peak of 50K in early August but decreased to around 31K by the end of September. Active users followed a comparable pattern, starting at about 82K and ending the quarter at 92K.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel had a consistent decline in weekly downloads, starting from 23K in early July and dropping to 10K by the end of September. Active users also decreased from 144K in early July to 118K at the quarter's close.

Careem – rides, food & more showed more stability. Weekly downloads hovered around 11K to 18K, while active users fluctuated between 331K and 404K, with a noticeable increase towards the end of the quarter.
