Top 5 Travel Apps Performance in Costa Rica for Q3 2021

During Q3 2021, the top travel apps in Costa Rica exhibited diverse trends in downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the performance of Uber - Request a ride, DiDi Rider: Affordable rides, Airbnb, inDrive. Save on city rides, and Booking.com: Hotels & Travel.

Uber - Request a ride had a fluctuating download rate, starting at around 9.4K in late June, dipping to approximately 6.7K by the end of July, and closing the quarter at roughly 7.9K. The app’s active users saw a slight increase, beginning at about 231K and finishing Q3 at around 244K.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides also experienced variations in downloads, starting at 11.4K in late June and decreasing to about 8.8K by the end of September. Active users for the app showed a more stable trend, starting at around 177K and ending the quarter at approximately 187K.

Airbnb saw a notable drop in downloads from around 3.2K in late June to roughly 2.3K in mid-July, then fluctuating slightly to conclude the quarter at about 2.6K. The active users for Airbnb remained relatively stable, starting at around 29.6K and ending Q3 at approximately 28.3K.

inDrive. Save on city rides had its downloads peaking in mid-July at around 4.5K, followed by a decline to about 2.9K by the end of September. Active users for the app showed some fluctuations, starting at about 104K and ending the quarter at roughly 101K.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel displayed a steady download rate, starting at around 1.8K in late June and maintaining a similar level to close the quarter at about 1.5K. The app’s active users showed a slight increase, starting at approximately 43K and finishing Q3 at around 45K.
