In the third quarter of 2021, the top five shopping applications in the United States—Amazon Shopping, SHEIN - Shopping Online, Shop: All your favorite brands, Walmart: Shopping & Savings, and Nike: Shoes, Apparel, Stories—demonstrated notable performances on both iOS and Android platforms. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into their weekly downloads and active user trends.

Amazon Shopping consistently maintained high download numbers, peaking at approximately 585K during the week of September 6. Active users fluctuated slightly but remained around the 46M mark, peaking at 47.6M in early August.

SHEIN - Shopping Online saw a decline in downloads over the quarter, starting from 484K at the end of June and dipping to about 393K by the end of September. Active users followed a similar trend, peaking at approximately 10.4M mid-July and tapering off to around 9.6M by the end of the quarter.

Shop: All your favorite brands experienced steady downloads, with numbers hovering around 360K for most of the quarter but dropping to approximately 314K by the end of September. Active users increased from 4.2M at the beginning of the quarter to a peak of about 4.9M in early September before settling at 4.6M at the end of the period.

Walmart: Shopping & Savings downloads were relatively stable, averaging around 340K, with a notable increase to approximately 401K in early August. Active users showed minor fluctuations, starting at 8.7M and peaking at around 8.9M in early July, ending the quarter with approximately 8.6M.

Nike: Shoes, Apparel, Stories saw a peak in downloads at around 349K in early August, but numbers declined to approximately 224K by the end of September. Active users increased from 2.4M at the start of the quarter to a peak of around 2.9M in early August, ending the quarter at approximately 2.5M.
