In the third quarter of 2021, the top 5 shopping apps in Ghana showcased varying trends in downloads and active users. Here's a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

Jumia Online Shopping saw a notable fluctuation in weekly downloads, peaking at around 151K in mid-July before experiencing a dip and then recovering to approximately 126K by the end of August. Weekly active users also showed an overall upward trend, starting from 574K at the beginning of the quarter and reaching about 696K by the end of September.

Alibaba.com experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, hitting a high of nearly 69K in late August. The app's weekly active users grew consistently, starting at 313K and peaking at around 444K towards the end of August, maintaining a stable user base thereafter.

Jiji Ghana maintained a steady pace in weekly downloads, with a peak of approximately 36K in late August. The active user base showed a slight upward trend, starting from 171K and reaching about 194K in late August, before stabilizing around 170K by the end of September.

Tonaton had a significant spike in downloads in early August, reaching over 55K, before stabilizing around 29K towards the end of the quarter. Active users saw a substantial increase from 29K at the start of the quarter to a peak of 84K in mid-August, before settling at around 66K by the end of September.

KiKUU: Online Shopping Mall exhibited a relatively stable trend in weekly downloads, ranging from 12K to 20K throughout the quarter. The app's active user base showed a modest increase, starting from 186K and reaching approximately 184K by the end of August, before stabilizing around 178K in late September.
