In the third quarter of 2021, the performance of the top five shopping apps in Colombia showed varied trends in downloads and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at each app's metrics.

Shopee CO: 9.9 Día de Compras saw significant growth in weekly downloads, starting at around 97K in the first week of July and peaking at approximately 333K by mid-September. The app's weekly active users also exhibited a steady increase, beginning at 134K and reaching a peak of 985K in the week of September 20.

Alibaba.com experienced relatively stable weekly downloads, fluctuating between 67K and 97K throughout the quarter. The active user base for the app showed a gradual increase, starting at 682K and peaking at about 837K in late August.

Mercado Libre: Compras Online maintained a consistent download rate, with figures oscillating around 60K to 70K per week. The weekly active users, however, showed a slight decline from 2.5M at the beginning of the quarter to approximately 2.2M by the end of September.

SHEIN - Shopping Online had weekly downloads that ranged from 35K to 53K, showing some fluctuation throughout the quarter. The app's active users remained relatively stable, with a slight increase from 505K in late June to 562K by the end of September.

AliExpress - Shopping App showed a steady download rate, ranging between 30K and 46K weekly. The number of active users showed some fluctuations, peaking at 921K in mid-July and then decreasing to around 784K by the end of the quarter.
