Top 5 Navigation Apps in Ukraine: Q3 2021 Performance

In the third quarter of 2021, the top five navigation apps in Ukraine showed varied performance in terms of weekly downloads, active users, and revenue, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps maintained a steady stream of weekly downloads, hovering around 30K, with a peak of 34.9K in the week of July 26. However, there was a slight downward trend towards the end of the quarter, closing at 20.5K in the final week of September. Active users remained robust, starting at 1.88M and slightly declining to 1.76M by the end of the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 50.5K in the week of August 16. The app experienced fluctuations but generally stayed above the 30K mark throughout the quarter. Active users also showed a positive trend, starting at 488K and peaking at 549K mid-quarter before settling at 488K in the last week of September.

Eway public transport exhibited consistent growth in weekly downloads, reaching a high of 24.3K in the week of August 30. Active users also increased steadily, starting at 191K and reaching 203K by the end of the quarter. The app generated modest weekly revenue, peaking at $93 in the week of September 6.

2GIS: Offline Map & Navigation had relatively stable weekly downloads, averaging around 11K to 12K, with a slight dip to 9.9K towards the end of September. Active users remained consistently around 440K to 470K throughout the quarter.

Moovit: All Transit Options experienced a gradual increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 7.9K in the week of August 30. Active users also showed a positive trend, starting at 56.7K and ending at 64.6K by the last week of September.
