In the third quarter of 2021, the top five navigation apps in Spain showed varying performance trends in terms of weekly downloads and active users, according to Sensor Tower data. Here’s a closer look at how each app fared:

Google Maps experienced a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, starting at around 67K and seeing peaks and troughs throughout the quarter. The highest point was in mid-August with approximately 99K downloads. The app maintained a robust active user base, starting at 5.2M and peaking at 5.4M in early September before slightly declining to 5.1M by the end of the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic showed a steady yet fluctuating download trend, beginning the quarter with about 21K downloads and peaking at over 33K in mid-August. The active user count saw a peak of approximately 651K in mid-August, but tapered off to around 543K by the end of September.

Moovit: All Transit Options had a noteworthy increase in weekly downloads, especially in early September, reaching nearly 38K. The active user base grew significantly, starting from around 151K and reaching up to 217K in mid-September, before stabilizing at around 197K by the end of the quarter.

SpTH saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, climbing from 5.5K at the start of the quarter to nearly 10K in late August. The active user count also increased consistently, starting from around 6.5K and peaking at 12.4K at the end of August, before slightly declining to 9.6K by the end of September.

Telpark showed a consistent download trend, with downloads ranging between 12K and 21K throughout the quarter. The active user base remained stable, starting at around 47K and peaking at approximately 56K in mid-August, before slightly declining to 48K by the end of September.
