In the third quarter of 2021, the top 5 MOBA applications in the United Kingdom showcased varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Pokémon UNITE from The Pokemon Company saw an impressive debut. The app had a peak in weekly downloads of around 377K in the week of September 20, which then tapered off to about 135K by the end of the month. Weekly revenue also climbed from approximately $54.9K to $69.5K over the same period. Active user numbers started at 307K and dipped to 269K by the end of September.

Brawl Stars by Supercell maintained a strong presence. Weekly revenue fluctuated, peaking at about $113K in late August, with a notable dip to $62K in mid-September, before recovering to $75K by the end of the month. Downloads remained relatively steady, ranging from 7.6K to 10.6K. Active users saw a slight decline from 386K at the start of the quarter to 322K by the end of September.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang from Shanghai Moonton Technology Co., Ltd. experienced varied performance metrics. Revenue showed peaks and troughs, with the highest weekly revenue reaching about $83.9K in late August, before settling at $70.5K by the end of September. Downloads remained fairly stable, with numbers ranging between 3K and 4.4K. Active users saw a slight decrease from 33K to around 29K throughout the quarter.

League of Legends: Wild Rift from Riot Games displayed modest figures in comparison. Weekly revenue peaked at $30.9K in late July, with a decline to around $13.4K by the end of September. Downloads were consistent, hovering between 2K and 2.8K. Active users followed a downward trend, decreasing from 23K to approximately 18K by the end of the quarter.

MARVEL Realm of Champions by Kabam Games, Inc. had the lowest figures among the top 5. Weekly revenue saw a significant decline from $2.9K at the start of the quarter to just under $200 by the end of September. Downloads also dropped, starting at around 2.8K and falling to 908. Active users declined from 5.9K to approximately 3.2K over the same period.
