Top 5 iOS News Apps in Finland Q3 2021

During the third quarter of 2021, the top 5 news applications on the iOS platform in Finland showed varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides valuable insights into the performance of these apps.

Reddit saw a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $154 in the week of August 23. Weekly downloads reached a high of around 2.1K during mid-August, while weekly active users grew steadily from 45.6K to nearly 49K by the end of September.

X experienced a gradual rise in weekly revenue, starting at $13 and climbing to $37 by the end of September. Downloads hovered around the 1.1K mark throughout the quarter. However, weekly active users showed a slight decline, moving from 133.8K at the beginning of July to 128.6K by the end of September.

Yle saw a significant spike in downloads, peaking at 2.1K in late July. Despite this, weekly active users data was not available, and there was no revenue generated during this period.

IS – Ilta-Sanomat recorded a peak in weekly revenue of about $756 in mid-September. Downloads remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 620 and 830 throughout the quarter. Active users saw a slight increase from 61.9K to 57.9K towards the end of September.

HS – Helsingin Sanomat generated the highest revenue among the top 5, with a peak of approximately $10.8K in late August. Weekly downloads were mostly stable, ranging from 600 to 835. Active users showed minor fluctuations, ending the quarter at around 52.4K.
