Top 5 iOS Navigation Apps in Kenya Q3 2021

The third quarter of 2021 saw notable trends in the performance of the top 5 navigation apps on iOS in Kenya. Data from Sensor Tower reveals interesting insights into weekly downloads, revenue, and active user numbers for these applications.

Google Maps consistently led the pack in terms of user engagement. Weekly active users grew from around 65K at the beginning of July to nearly 73K by the end of September. Downloads remained steady throughout the quarter, averaging around 1K per week.

Find my Phone - Family Locator showed a fluctuating trend in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $176 in the first week of August. Downloads experienced a significant increase towards the end of September, jumping from around 293 to 622 within a week. Active users also saw a notable rise, reaching 655 in the same period.

Spoten Phone Location Tracker recorded a peak in weekly revenue of about $76 at the end of July. Downloads and active users exhibited a similar pattern, with a notable spike in mid-August where downloads hit 369 and active users reached 266.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained a stable user base with weekly active users fluctuating between 846 and 1K. Downloads were relatively consistent, averaging around 80 per week throughout the quarter.

Bolt Driver App saw a surge in active users towards the end of September, rising from 719 to 913. Weekly downloads also spiked mid-September, reaching 104 in the week of September 20.
