Top 5 iOS Navigation Apps in Europe Q3 2021

Throughout the third quarter of 2021, the top 5 navigation apps on the iOS platform in Europe exhibited distinct performance trends. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides valuable insights into weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for these apps.

Google Maps saw a strong performance in weekly downloads, peaking at around 0.9M in early August. However, downloads gradually declined to approximately 0.67M by the end of September. Active users also followed a similar trend, starting at 70.4M at the beginning of the quarter and decreasing to 69.3M by the end.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, with a peak of 215K in late July and a decline to 158K by late September. Active users remained relatively stable throughout the quarter, ranging from 12.7M to 13.2M.

Moovit: All Transit Options showed a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting at 75K and reaching a peak of 121K in early September. Active users also saw a steady rise, starting at 689K and climbing to 928K by the end of the quarter.

Yandex Maps & Navigator had a moderate performance in weekly downloads, with numbers fluctuating between 71K and 108K. Active users increased from 1.9M to over 2.1M during the quarter. The app also generated some revenue, peaking at $2.9K in the first week of August.

SpTH maintained a steady download rate, with weekly downloads hovering around 85K. Active users showed a slight increase, starting at 95K and reaching 113K by mid-September before slightly declining to 98K at the end of the quarter.
