In the third quarter of 2021, the finance category on iOS in Nigeria saw significant activity among its top applications. Here’s a closer look at the performance metrics of the top 5 finance apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Kuda - Free transfer & payment experienced a steady weekly download rate, peaking at 8.5K at the start of August. The app maintained a consistent number of weekly active users, starting at around 32.6K at the end of June and reaching approximately 43.8K by the end of September.

PocketApp: Send & Manage Money saw a dramatic increase in weekly downloads, with a peak of nearly 27.9K in the first week of August. Although downloads dropped to about 3.8K by the end of September, the app showed strong initial engagement.

Access More had a consistent upward trend in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads increased from 6.7K at the end of June to 8.8K by the end of September. Active users also grew from around 46.2K to over 62.2K during the same period.

UBA Mobile Banking maintained a stable weekly download rate, with numbers ranging from 5.5K to 6.6K throughout the quarter. The number of active users showed a gradual increase, starting at 41.2K in late June and reaching approximately 45.9K by the end of September.

OPay-We are beyond Banking had consistent weekly downloads, ranging from 4.2K to 5.2K. The app's active users saw slight fluctuations but remained robust, starting at around 49.7K and ending at approximately 49.9K by the end of September.
