During the third quarter of 2021, the education category on iOS in Argentina saw varied performance trends among its top five apps. Here’s a closer look at the weekly downloads, revenue, and active user metrics for these apps.

Google Classroom started Q3 with approximately 3.2K downloads, experiencing a decline to about 1.6K by mid-July. However, there was a notable increase in early August, peaking at around 3.7K downloads before stabilizing between 2.1K and 2.9K for the remainder of the quarter. Active users saw a decrease from 197K to 98K in July but rebounded to around 184K by the end of September.

Toca Boca World had a strong revenue performance, peaking at about $5.6K in the first week of July. The app maintained a steady revenue between $3.2K and $4.8K for the rest of the quarter. Downloads fluctuated, starting at 1.6K and closing the quarter at approximately 1.4K. Active users remained consistent, hovering around 17K to 18K throughout Q3.

Duolingo - Language Lessons exhibited steady revenue growth, reaching a high of $4.5K at the end of August. Downloads started at 2.1K in late June and gradually declined to around 1.3K by the end of September. Active users remained stable, averaging around 48K to 49K throughout the quarter.

Photomath showed modest revenue, peaking at $150 in late June and fluctuating between $38 and $116 for the rest of the quarter. Downloads saw an initial drop from 2.4K to 452 in mid-July but recovered to around 1.7K by the end of September. Active users increased significantly from 20K to 36K over the quarter.

PlantIn: Plant Identifier・Care experienced a surge in revenue, starting at $46 and peaking at $1.5K in mid-September. Downloads were minimal in early Q3 but skyrocketed to 2.9K by mid-August, before settling at around 1K at the end of September. Active users followed a similar trend, increasing from 80 to 2.5K, before a slight decline to 1.3K by the end of the quarter.
