In the third quarter of 2021, the top five education apps on iOS in Hungary showed varied performance across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at their metrics, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Duolingo - Language Lessons experienced a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $7.9K in early September. Weekly downloads fluctuated slightly, reaching a high of 1.4K in early August. The app also saw a consistent rise in weekly active users, peaking at around 16K in early August before slightly declining to approximately 14.9K by the end of September.

Toca Boca World had its highest weekly revenue of about $3.6K in early July, followed by a general downward trend, ending the quarter at around $1.7K. Weekly downloads showed a similar pattern, starting at 955 and dropping to 729 by the end of September. Active users remained relatively stable, peaking at 8.8K in mid-August.

EWA English Language Learning saw its weekly revenue peak at approximately $3.5K in early August, with a notable increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching around $3.3K. Weekly downloads were highest in mid-July at 1K, with a similar trend in active users, peaking at 2.6K during the same period.

Learn 33 Languages with Mondly had its highest weekly revenue of about $1.8K in early September. Weekly downloads fluctuated, peaking at 654 in late September. The app’s active users also saw a peak in mid-July at 1.7K before stabilizing around 1.6K by the end of the quarter.

Xeropan: Learn languages experienced a peak in weekly revenue of approximately $1.3K in early August, with another high of $1.2K at the end of September. Weekly downloads reached a high of 747 in late July but generally trended downwards, ending the quarter at 349.
