In Q3 2021, the top 5 finance applications on the Android platform in Spain exhibited diverse trends in downloads and active user numbers, according to Sensor Tower data.

CaixaBankNow saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 27.8K in early September. Weekly active users fluctuated, starting at approximately 2.4M in late June and ending at around 2.3M by the end of September.

PayPal - Pay, Send, Save experienced steady weekly downloads, with a peak of about 22.9K in mid-July and another rise to 22.7K at the end of September. Weekly active users increased from roughly 864K in late June to around 922K by the end of the quarter.

Google Wallet also showed consistent download numbers, with a peak of 27K in early August. Active users rose steadily throughout the quarter, starting at about 219K in late June and reaching 272K by the end of September.

CaixaBank Sign - Digital sign had varied weekly downloads, with a peak of approximately 21.6K in late June and another rise to 21.6K in late September. Active users saw a significant drop from about 717K in late June to around 558K by the end of September.

BBVA Spain | Online Banking maintained steady weekly downloads, peaking at about 19.9K in late September. Active users increased from approximately 1.9M in late June to around 2M by the end of the quarter.
