Top 5 Finance Apps Performance on Android in Brazil Q3 2021

The third quarter of 2021 saw significant activity in the finance app sector on the Android platform in Brazil. Here, we explore the performance of the top 5 finance applications in terms of downloads and active users.

Nubank: conta, cartão e mais experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 455K in late June and peaking at around 707K in the week of August 23. Active users followed a similar upward trend, growing from about 22.6M to approximately 25.2M by the end of September.

PicPay: Conta, Cartão e Pix showed a gradual decline in weekly downloads, from around 407K at the start of Q3 to about 317K by the end of September. However, active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 11.4M and 11.8M throughout the quarter.

Banco PAN: sua vida rende mais observed a decrease in weekly downloads from approximately 380K in late June to about 277K by the end of September. Despite this, the app maintained a steady number of active users, ranging from 3.6M to around 4M over the quarter.

Banco do Brasil: Conta Digital had a consistent performance in weekly downloads, starting at around 235K and reaching approximately 325K by the end of Q3. Active users also showed a steady increase, growing from about 9.8M to approximately 10.5M during the same period.

FGTS demonstrated a significant rise in weekly downloads, increasing from around 232K in late June to a peak of approximately 474K in the week of August 23. Active users also surged, starting at about 2.7M and reaching a high of approximately 4M by the end of August, before stabilizing around 2.7M by the end of September.
