In the second quarter of 2021, the performance of the top 5 auto applications in the United States, based on Sensor Tower data, displayed distinct trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

Aceable – Driving School App saw its weekly revenue start at approximately $103K at the end of March and gradually decline to around $78K by the end of June. Downloads peaked at 11.5K in mid-April, before settling around 8.7K by the end of the quarter. Meanwhile, active users fluctuated but generally stayed around the 50K mark, peaking at 55.7K in mid-April.

Zutobi: DMV Practice Test experienced an upward trend in weekly revenue, reaching close to $68K by mid-May. However, downloads showed a downward trend, starting from 51.5K in late March and dropping to just over 21K by the end of June. Active users also declined from 72.3K at the beginning of the quarter to around 37.9K by the end.

CARFAX - Shop New & Used Cars maintained steady weekly revenue, hovering around $35K to $45K throughout the quarter. Downloads varied, peaking at 47K in early June, while active users saw a slight decline from about 100K in late March to around 84K by the end of June.

DMV Practice Test Genie & CDL showed consistent weekly revenue between $28K and $32K. Downloads were relatively stable, ranging from 16K to 20K. Active users remained around 66K to 73K throughout the quarter.

Drivewyze experienced a gradual increase in weekly revenue, starting at about $15K and growing to nearly $25K by the end of June. Downloads peaked at 2.7K in late April but averaged around 1.4K towards the end of the quarter.
