In the second quarter of 2021, the top 5 navigation apps on the iOS platform in Malta showcased varying performance trends. Using data from Sensor Tower, we break down the weekly downloads and revenue for these apps.

Google Maps saw consistent weekly downloads, fluctuating between 355 and 511. The app had its highest downloads in the week of May 10, peaking at 511, and another notable increase with 501 downloads in the week of April 26. Despite the steady download rate, there was no revenue generated from the app during this period.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a more varied download trend. Starting with 33 downloads in the last week of March, the app saw a peak download count of 62 in the week of April 19. Later in the quarter, downloads ranged between 40 and 59, with a slight increase to 58 in the final week of June. Similar to Google Maps, Waze did not generate any revenue throughout the quarter.

Moovit: All Transit Options displayed a gradual increase in weekly downloads. Starting from a low of 3 downloads in the week of April 5, it reached a peak of 40 downloads by the last week of June. This app did not generate any revenue throughout the quarter.

SpTH had minimal activity in terms of downloads initially, with zero downloads for several weeks. However, there was a notable increase starting in June, peaking at 25 downloads in the week of June 21. Like many others in this category, SpTH did not generate any revenue during Q2 2021.
