In the first quarter of 2021, the Music/Rhythm category saw intriguing performance trends across top apps in the UK market. Analyzing data from Sensor Tower, we observed the following for the top five applications in this segment.
Amanotes Pte. Ltd.'s Magic Tiles 3: Piano Game experienced a decline in downloads, decreasing from 100K in the last week of December 2020 to 45K by the end of March 2021. Weekly active users also followed a downward trend, dropping from 513K to 332K in the same period. Revenue exhibited a slight dip, starting at approximately $19K and stabilizing around $18K towards the end of the quarter.
Another app by Amanotes, Tiles Hop EDM Rush Music Ball, mirrored this declining trend with downloads falling from 74K to 31K and active users reducing from 362K to 307K. Revenue figures hovered around $7K to $8K weekly.
Badsnowball Limited's Smash Colors 3D 2023 showed an initial increase in downloads in January, peaking at 59K, before dropping to 29K by the end of March. The app's active users peaked at 131K in early February but declined to 91K by the end of March. Finally, Easybrain's Drum Pad Machine - Beat Maker experienced a decline in downloads from 23K to 13K and a drop in active users from 94K to 67K. Revenue showed a downward trend from $5K at the start of the quarter to around $3K by March end.
