Top 5 Lifestyle Apps in France Q1 2021: A Sensor Tower Data Snapshot

In the first quarter of 2021, France saw interesting trends in the Lifestyle category on mobile platforms. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers a detailed look at the top applications in this segment.

Pinterest, the well-known visual discovery engine, experienced a decrease in downloads over the quarter, starting at around 120K and dipping to 68K by the end of March. However, weekly active users remained strong, starting at 7.58M and ending the quarter slightly higher at 7.72M.

Google Home also saw a downward trend in downloads, beginning at 121K and falling to 35K. Its active user base showed a slight decline from 714K at the start of the quarter to 559K by its close.

The French app Caf - Mon Compte, designed for accessing family allowance fund services, had an initial spike in downloads in early January with 117K but saw a decrease to 57K by the end of March. Active users peaked to 1.29M in early March, a significant rise from the beginning of the quarter's 1.2M.

Cash'em All: Play & Win, a relatively new entrant, had its highest downloads at 37K in late December, dropping to 25K by March. Weekly active users saw a peak in mid-March at 84K, up from 68K at the end of December.

Lastly, the dating app happn - Dating App, produced in France, showed a mid-quarter spike in downloads at 31K but ended the quarter at 21K. Revenue for happn showed a consistent performance, oscillating around 120K USD throughout the quarter. The app's active users saw a steady increase from 626K to 762K in early March, before a slight decline to 742K by the quarter's end.
