European Lifestyle Apps' Q1 2021 Performance Overview

The first quarter of 2021 has seen varying trends in the Lifestyle category across Europe's unified platform. Data sourced from Sensor Tower shows how the top five apps in this segment have fared in terms of downloads and weekly active users. Here's a snapshot of their performance.

Starting the quarter with approximately 1.1M downloads, Pinterest saw a slight decline to just over 1M by mid-quarter, eventually dipping to 882K by the end of March. Despite the decrease in downloads, weekly active users displayed a more positive trend, growing from 88.7M to 94.6M.

Google Home

Google Home experienced a decrease in downloads from 577K at the beginning of the quarter to 263K by the end. Weekly active users also saw a decline, starting at 3.4M and reducing to 2.7M over the three-month period.

Glovo: Food Delivery and more

Downloads for Glovo: Food Delivery and more fluctuated, peaking at 280K in mid-January and then settling around 225K by the end of March. Weekly active users showed a more steadily increasing trend, rising from 2.2M to 2.8M.

Amazon Alexa

Amazon Alexa saw a significant drop in downloads, starting at 566K and falling to 201K. Weekly active users initially declined from 5.2M to 4.2M but saw a slight uptick towards the end of the quarter, reaching 4.5M.

Mi Home - Manage smart devices

The Mi Home - Manage smart devices app experienced a decrease in downloads from 305K to 167K. Unlike the download trend, the app's weekly active users increased from 2.1M to 2.3M by the quarter's close.
