Q1 2021 U.S. iOS Shopping Apps Performance Report

In the first quarter of 2021, the Shopping category on iOS in the United States saw various trends among the top applications. Sensor Tower provides a closer look at how these apps performed in terms of downloads and weekly active users.

OfferUp - Buy. Sell. Letgo. maintained a steady stream of revenue, peaking at over $476K in mid-March. Downloads for the app remained above 180K each week, with a slight downward trend over the quarter. Weekly active users started at 16.1M and saw a gradual decline to just under 15M by the end of March.

Buy and sell - Marketplace experienced fluctuations in revenue with a high of over $33K in late March. The app's downloads showed a peak of approximately 25K in late March, while active users reached a quarter-high of over 32K in the same period.

Wyze - Make Your Home Smarter did not generate revenue until the second half of March, where it then rapidly increased to nearly $58K. Downloads for Wyze consistently stayed above 24K each week, with an upward trend to over 31K by quarter's end. The weekly active users saw a slight increase from 714K at the beginning of the period to 668K at the close of the quarter.

Alfred Home Security Camera showed a revenue increase towards the end of the quarter, hitting over $13K in late March. Downloads spiked to over 15K in the third week of February but generally hovered around 5K. Active users peaked at nearly 80K after the February spike but ended the quarter around 60K.

HotStock - in-stock alerts saw its revenue rise to over $10K by late March, with downloads peaking at 8K in mid-March. The app's weekly active users maintained a level around 32K for most of the quarter, ending slightly lower at 31.5K.
