In the first quarter of 2021, the Music/Rhythm category on iOS saw significant activity among the top applications. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers insights into the performance of these apps in the United States.
Amanotes Pte. Ltd.'s Magic Tiles 3: Piano Game showed a downward trend in downloads from 269K in the last week of December to 142K by the end of March. However, revenue remained relatively stable, ranging from around $110K to $109K in the same period. Weekly active users experienced an upward trend, growing impressively from 1.3M to over 2.5M.
The same publisher's Tiles Hop EDM Rush Music Ball experienced a decrease in downloads from 209K to 101K and a slight fluctuation in revenue, with a peak of around $77K. Weekly active users declined from 850K at the end of December to 772K by March's end.
Another Amanotes app, Dancing Road: Color Ball Run!, also saw a decline in both downloads, from 149K to 48K, and weekly active users, which dropped from 665K to 375K. Revenue for this app stayed in the range of $14K to $14.5K throughout the quarter.
From Badsnowball Limited, Smash Colors 3D 2023 had varied performance with downloads peaking at 76K in late January before settling at 72K in March. Revenue showed a positive trend, increasing from $180 to $780. Weekly active users saw a substantial rise from 34K to 173K.
Lastly, Beat Blader 3D, also by Amanotes, had a decrease in downloads from 111K to 39K. Revenue ranged from $9.2K to $8K, with weekly active users seeing a decline from 184K to 77K.
