In the first quarter of 2021, the MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) category saw significant activity on the iOS platform in France. Sensor Tower provided us with the data necessary to understand how the top MOBA applications performed during this period.

Supercell's Brawl Stars showed a notable trend with its revenue peaking at approximately $320K in the week of February 8th and then fluctuating before rising again to nearly $193K by the end of March. Downloads remained fairly consistent, ranging from around 19K to 25K per week. The game's weekly active users (WAUs) increased over the quarter, from roughly 483K in the first week of January to about 559K by the end of March.

Riot Games' League of Legends: Wild Rift experienced a dip in revenue from around $26K at the end of December to $14K by late February, before rebounding to approximately $28K at the close of March. Downloads showed a declining trend throughout the quarter, starting at about 24K and dropping to 4.8K. The WAUs also decreased from approximately 95K to 47K during the same time frame.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, published by Shanghai Moonton Technology, saw its revenue vary, with a high of roughly $28K in early February. Downloads were modest, with numbers generally hovering around 1.1K each week. The game's active users saw a slight increase from around 19K at the beginning of January to approximately 17K by the end of March.

Kabam Games' MARVEL Realm of Champions had relatively low revenue figures, with a peak at just over $900 in mid-January. Downloads decreased significantly from 5.6K at the end of December to 1.1K by the end of March. The weekly active users reflected a similar downward trend, starting at 6.4K and ending at 1.5K.

Lastly, Robot Squid's King of Crabs showed modest revenue figures, peaking at $156 in mid-January and then increasing again to $149 by the end of March. Downloads saw some fluctuations but ended the quarter stronger at 325 compared to 284 at the end of December. The WAUs varied slightly, peaking at 499 in late January and finishing the quarter at 410.
