In the first quarter of 2021, the Lifestyle category on iOS saw significant activity in Latin America. The data provided by Sensor Tower offers a snapshot of the performance of the top five applications in this segment. Here's how they fared.

Tinder: Chat, Dating & Friends, a leading name in the dating app market, showed a consistent revenue trend with a slight dip towards the end of the quarter, recording revenues fluctuating around the $250K mark. Downloads began at 76K in the last week of December and peaked at 85K in the first week of January, before gradually decreasing to 77K by the end of March. Weekly active users started strong at 2.3M but saw a gradual decline to just over 2.1M.

Next, happn — Dating app from France also experienced a steady revenue trend, hovering around $30K to $37K. Downloads saw a peak of about 15K in mid-January, maintaining a relatively consistent performance throughout the quarter. The app's active users showed a slight decline from 310K to 287K over the three-month period.

The Dating App - Inner Circle from the Netherlands maintained a revenue range between $30K and $35K. The app's downloads saw an uptick in mid-February, reaching nearly 9K, while weekly active users increased from 62K to 74K, indicating a healthy engagement rate.

From the United Kingdom, Badoo: Dating. Chat. Friends showed a revenue pattern with some fluctuation but generally stayed around the low $30Ks. Download numbers were strongest at the beginning of the quarter, with over 29K in the first week of January, and ended the quarter with a similar figure. The weekly active users count grew from 612K to 671K, showing a positive trend in user engagement.

Lastly, Bumble: Dating & Friends App, another US-based application, demonstrated a steady revenue stream that saw an increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching over $33K. Downloads remained relatively stable with a slight increase in February. The weekly active users showed growth from 144K to 151K, ending the quarter on a high note.
