As the first quarter of 2021 has wrapped up, we've taken a closer look at the performance of the top five insurance applications on the iOS platform in Europe. Our data, courtesy of Sensor Tower, provides a snapshot of downloads, active users, and where applicable, revenue trends.

UnipolSai - Assicurazioni, with its origin in Italy, maintained a steady presence. The app saw an initial increase in downloads, peaking at around 9K in the second week of January, followed by a gradual decline to 4K by the end of March. Weekly active users started strong at 16K in mid-January but dipped to approximately 10K by the quarter's end.

Hastings Direct Insurance, from the United Kingdom, experienced fluctuations in downloads, with a remarkable spike to over 11K in the second-to-last week of March. Active users mirrored this pattern, soaring to 23K in the same week, up from an average of 16K earlier in the quarter.

Germany's CLARK - Versicherungsmanager showed a spike in downloads in late January to 8K, followed by a drop and a second peak of 7K in late March. Active users witnessed growth, climbing from around 3K at the beginning of the quarter to over 6K towards the end.

Cuvva, another UK-based app, saw a consistent download range between 3K and 4K throughout the quarter. Active users slightly increased over time, starting at around 10K and ending the quarter with over 10K.

Lastly, MyAviva, also hailing from the United Kingdom, showed a steady download count, hovering around 4K, with occasional dips. Weekly active users experienced a peak of 8.5K in early February but saw a decrease to just under 8K by the quarter's end.
