iOS Dating App Trends in the US for Q1 2021

As we review the first quarter of 2021, Sensor Tower provides insights into the performance of the top 5 dating applications on the iOS platform in the United States.

Tinder: Chat, Dating & Friends maintained strong figures in this period, with revenues oscillating around the $4M to $5M mark weekly. Downloads showed a slight declining trend from 165K in the last week of December to 139K by the end of March, while weekly active users ranged from a high of 5.6M to a low of 5.2M.

Bumble: Dating & Friends App reported revenues consistently above $2M per week. The app experienced a decrease in downloads from 109K to 81K over the quarter, and active users peaked at 2.2M in February, with a slight decrease to just over 2.1M by quarter's end.

Hinge Dating App: Match & Date showed revenue growth in February, hitting a peak of nearly $1.2M in the week of February 22nd. Downloads remained fairly stable, with a slight decrease from 80K to 55K, and weekly active users saw a high of 1.9M in mid-February, ending the quarter at around 1.8M.

Plenty of Fish Dating App saw its revenue jump significantly in mid-March to over $1.3M, with other weeks averaging around $1M. Downloads hovered around 57K to 76K, and active users had a high of 688K in late January, finishing the quarter with 614K.

Lastly, MeetMe - Meet, Chat & Go Live had its revenue increase throughout the quarter, reaching a peak of $1.2M in the week of March 15th. Downloads ranged from 46K at the start of the quarter to 31K by the end, and the app's active users showed minor fluctuations, remaining close to the 213K mark.
