Q1 2021 Performance of Top Android Shopping Apps in Latin America

As the first quarter of 2021 comes to a close, Sensor Tower provides us with valuable insights into the performance of the leading shopping applications on the Android platform in Latin America. Here's a look at the top contenders and their standing in the market.

AlfredCamera Home Security app saw a notable spike in downloads, starting the quarter with 34K and reaching a peak of 142K in early March, before stabilizing at 52K towards the end of March. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, increasing from 203K to a high of 399K, and then slightly declining to 277K by the quarter's end.

Wallapop - Sell & Buy experienced steady growth in downloads, beginning at 5K and rising to 6K. The weekly active users for Wallapop showed a gradual increase from 64K to 70K, indicating consistent user engagement throughout the quarter.

Buy and sell - Marketplace had a strong start with downloads at 11K, peaking at 12K mid-quarter, and then experiencing a slight decrease to 8K. Weekly active users saw a slight up-and-down movement, starting at 29K, peaking at 33K, and ending the quarter at 30K.

Shpock: Buy & Sell Marketplace showed minimal fluctuation in downloads, with a low starting point and a minor peak at 87 downloads in mid-February. The app's weekly active users ranged between 265 and 393, with no significant changes throughout the quarter.

Lastly, السوق المفتوح - OpenSooq had a relatively flat performance in terms of downloads, starting and ending the quarter with less than 50 downloads per week. Weekly active users remained low, with a brief increase to 87 users in late March.
