Q1 2021 Performance of Top Shopping Apps on Android in Brazil

As the first quarter of 2021 has concluded, we have observed some interesting trends in the performance of shopping applications on the Android platform in Brazil. Here's a brief overview of how the top apps fared during this period, with data sourced from Sensor Tower.

AlfredCamera Home Security app started the quarter with approximately 20K downloads and saw a dip to around 13K before rebounding to over 22K downloads in the third week of March. Meanwhile, weekly active users decreased from 127K to 105K in mid-February, then rose to roughly 129K towards the end of March.

Buy and sell - Marketplace showed a consistent download trend, hovering around 2K to 2.6K weekly, with a slight drop at the beginning of February. Active user counts remained stable, starting at around 5.6K and peaking at approximately 7.3K by the end of March.

For Wallapop - Sell & Buy, there were no recorded downloads during the quarter. However, revenue trends showed fluctuations, with the highest revenue recorded in the second week of February at $57 and the lowest at $11 during the start of March.

Wyze - Make Your Home Smarter had no available data for downloads or active users during this quarter. Revenue numbers were minimal, with a slight increase mid-March, reaching $70.

Lastly, Universal TV Remote Control had a strong performance in terms of downloads, starting the quarter with nearly 98K and peaking at over 156K in late March. Active users showed a significant rise from 360K to almost 488K through the quarter.
