Music/Rhythm Apps on Android: A Snapshot from the US in Q1 2021

The first quarter of 2021 has seen fluctuating trends in the music and rhythm app category for Android users in the United States. Sensor Tower's data provides a glimpse into how these apps have performed in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Love Live! All Stars experienced a revenue trend that peaked in early March with approximately $34K, after a low in early February of around $9K. Weekly active users saw a decrease from 5K to 4K, while downloads showed minimal activity.

Sweet Dance saw its revenue rise significantly towards the end of March, reaching over $20K from a low of about $6K in early February. Downloads peaked in late March at approximately 11K, and weekly active users also experienced an upward trend, ending the quarter at around 17K.

Magic Tiles 3 achieved steady revenue growth, culminating in over $10K by the end of March. Downloads remained high, consistently above 100K, with weekly active users showing significant growth from 968K to over 1.3M.

Rhythm Hive, a newer entrant, had downloads starting strong at around 19K in its release week, then stabilizing at about 4K towards the end of March. The app's weekly active users showed an initial decline but recovered to over 10K by the end of the quarter.

BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! saw its revenue jump in the last week of March to around $11K after hovering around $4K to $6K earlier in the quarter. Downloads and weekly active users experienced a slight uptick, ending the quarter with around 2K downloads and 11K active users.
