Performance Trends of Leading MOBA Apps on Android in Brazil for Q1 2021

The first quarter of 2021 has been a bustling period for the MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) category on the Android platform in Brazil. Sensor Tower's data gives us insights into how the top applications in this genre have fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Starting with Brawl Stars, published by Finland's Supercell, we witnessed a decrease in revenue from $158K to $52K over the quarter, while downloads showed a declining trend from 180K to 104K. However, weekly active users peaked in mid-March at 2.96M before settling at 2.72M.

Riot Games, Inc's League of Legends: Wild Rift, despite a dip in revenue from $146K to $76K, saw a dramatic spike in downloads to over 2.4M in the last week of March. The active user base also escalated significantly to over 2M in the same period.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, from Chinese publisher Moonton, saw a steady revenue increase from $66K to $60K, while downloads showed an upward trend, concluding at 149K. The weekly active users experienced a peak of over 1.82M towards the end of March.

Level Infinite's Arena of Valor generated less revenue, starting at $19K and dropping to $4.5K by the end of the quarter. Downloads remained stable, ending at nearly 6K, and active users saw a slight decline from 61K to 47K.

Lastly, Netdragon Websoft Inc's Heroes Evolved had a modest revenue that tapered off to less than $1K, while downloads fell to 771. The active user base also reduced, finishing at 4.5K.
